Presented with the task of creating an expressive kinetic typography project using the audio of my choice, I knew Gabbie Hanna's music would be an excellent source of inspiration. Her lyrics are highly emotional, so turning them into expressive typographic animations felt natural. At the time this video was conceived, her song Medicate had just been released.

The look of the video - especially the colour scheme - was directly influenced by her branding at the time, which was intended to support the promotion of this song. Her instagram was flooded with black, white, and yellow which offered a definitive structure to distinguish different components of the song.
